Just like you, I have dreams, wishes, hobbies, and interests. Like every other child, I would prefer to remain a child a little longer and enjoy the innocent joy that comes with it.

In the past, my friends and I often played outside in the sun, laughed together, and made memories. I spent time with my family, visited each other, and shared stories during dinner, which brought us closer together. At school, I learned new things, discovered my passions, and developed friendships that were valuable to me. But one day, everything changed suddenly. A terrible event turned my life completely upside down. Instead of being awakened by something pleasant, like the alarm clock encouraging me to play, I was harshly pulled from my dreams by the piercing blast of an explosion. The shock was so intense that my whole family woke up desperate and fearful.

My name is Imane, and I live in the Gaza Strip, a place that faces challenges and conflicts daily. Despite the difficult circumstances, I try to keep my dreams alive, and that is not always easy. However, the hope remains that peace will come again someday, so that children like me can fully enjoy their childhood once more. In the meantime, I continue to strive for a better future, full of love, friendship, and safety.
