Description
The Messenger of Allah was born on the 12th of Rabbi al-awwal, in Mecca during the Year of the Elephant. His father was named Abd Allah ibn Abd al-Muttalib al Hashimi and his mother was Amina Bint Wahab. At that time, Mecca was a city full of idols that the Arabs worshipped. When the mother of the prophet (peace be upon him) gave birth, a light appeared that illuminated his house and the palaces of Syria. When he was born, his grandfather took him to the Ka'ba to call upon Allah and thank Him. He named him Muhammad.
